Jericho Project Executive Director Tori Lyon was named to Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Supportive Housing Task Force today.
“We are honored to be part of the implementation team for the Mayor’s bold initiative to create 15,000 new units of critically-needed supportive housing in New York City. We applaud his purposeful and thoughtful approach in engaging his nonprofit partners in getting it done quickly and effectively” Lyon said.
For 33 years Jericho has worked to end homelessness at its roots through supportive housing and comprehensive services, and currently serves 1,600 adults and families, including 550 veterans. “We have seen first hand how supportive housing transforms the lives of men and women as a crucial first step to stability and independence.”
