On April 9, Jericho Project and the City of New York lost a beacon of hope and advocate for individuals facing the crisis of homelessness, our former Executive Director Gene Estess. “We mourn the passing of a great leader, mentor and friend,” said Executive Director Tori Lyon, who worked closely with Gene before he passed the reins to her in 2005.”We were honored to have Gene celebrate with us at our 30th Anniversary Gala in October 2013 and witness the continuation of his dream.”

A former Wall Street executive, Estess committed himself to transforming the lives of thousands of people throughout his 18 years at the helm of Jericho.
